Emily. She's the confused one. There's a new girl in town, her name's Maya. Her and Emily become really good friends but as time passes they seem to be getting extra friendly with eachother. Emily and Maya kiss at a party and Emily's boyfriend catches them. Emily seems scared to admit that she is attracted to Maya. I wonder if she's just confused. "A" seems to know everything as well so she is being tormented by this scared that others will soon find out.

Then there's Spencer. Spencer appears to be an overahiever. She works her butt off at school, sports and everything she does. She likes to be number one, but is always battleling with her sister for the title. Her sister gets the better grades, is better at sports and has the better boyfriends. Spencer hates this Spencer is jealous of Melissa for having everything she wanted, and they have a huge rivalry. Her sister comes back from college with fiancee Wren Kim and decides to stay in the guest house which Spencer was already fixing up for herself. Spencer is flirting with her sister's fiancee and I wonder if they'll have something going on in the guest house once they're all alone. I like this book because there's a Television show about it as well. I have yet to watch it but if it's like the books I can't wait for all the suspense!

This book is about  five friends who have a big secret they are trying to hide. One of the girls, Alison, the leader of their clique. Alison goes missing and they never hear from her again. After she disappears the girls start growing apart and now they barely acknowledge eachother. Aria, another one of the clique, gets back from Iceland and meets Ezra who's different from the rest of the boys at Rosewood. They seem to really be into eachother, but things turn a little weird when Aria gets to class and finds that he is her new English teacher. Talk about ackward! I wonder if they're going to keep on talking and having a relationship, because to Aria they seem to have a connection.

The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler -Rising Action

Virginia struggles with her weight throughout the book. She loses weight but when her brother is accused of rape and theres a lot of things going on in her family she gains it back. It seems like she eats her emotions. She thinks really low of herself, that no guy could possibly ever want her for more than just a good time but to me this Froggy guy seems to actually like her.

The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler

This book is about the life of an over weight teenager. Virginia Shreves, who up to this point feels like she's the ugly duckling in her family. Her Mom, Dad, older brother and sister all seem to have the perfect bodies and are great at the things they do. Virginia believes the Shreves would be the picture perfect family if she were out of the picture.
