The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler -Rising Action

Virginia struggles with her weight throughout the book. She loses weight but when her brother is accused of rape and theres a lot of things going on in her family she gains it back. It seems like she eats her emotions. She thinks really low of herself, that no guy could possibly ever want her for more than just a good time but to me this Froggy guy seems to actually like her.

    It really sucks when a girl has to go through something like this. This can actually cause her to go into depresseion. Hopefully things end up to get better for her.

    that's sucks. why would she have no confidence in herself i think that she should just have more confidence in herself or maybe talk to her friends to make her feel better.

    Dang did he really rape her? and this reminds me of the show i use to be fat. because everybody eats their depression away
